چکیده
In paddy fields, overuse of nitrogen fertilizer to maximize yields can lead excessive economic loss and degradation the environment. Therefore, studying effects urea–chitosan nanohybrid as a slow released source on rice cultivation was aim our study. The fertilization applications, namely: CU: control treatment; U1: application full recommended dose classical urea (165 kg N ha−1); U2: adding by 80% + exogenous 250 mg N/L; U3: 500 U4: 60% U5: U6: 40% U7: N/L growth indicators, yield-related components, grain productivity, uptake status plants were investigated during two successive seasons. As result, significant achievements concerning growth, yield traits obtained when fertilized with (i.e., N/L) without decline in studied compared urea. Accordingly, this investigation revealed that chitosan at compensatory alternative be used saving requirement.

Phosphate Uptake and Allocation – A Closer Look at Arabidopsis thaliana L. and Oryza sativa L.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the discovery and characterization of the two Arabidopsis PHT1 genes encoding the phosphate transporter in Arabidopsis thaliana. So far, multiple inorganic phosphate (Pi) transporters have been described, and the molecular basis of Pi acquisition by plants has been well-characterized. These genes are involved in Pi acquisition, allocation, and/or signal t...
متن کاملNitrogen availability and uptake as influenced by time of application and N sources in semi-dry rice (Oryza sativa)
295 Semi dry rice refers to rice which is sown on dry seed bed as an upland crop taking advantage of monsoon rains. At fourth or fifth leaf stage, when the rainfall intensifies or sufficient water is released from the tank or irrigation projects, the field is converted to wet land rice. The major barrier in improving the productivity of rice in this system is inefficient use of important plant ...
متن کاملInteraction between cadmium and atrazine during uptake by rice seedlings (Oryza sativa L.).
The uptake of atrazine by rice seedlings (Oryza sativa L.) through plant roots from nutrient solution was investigated in the presence and absence of Cd2+ over an exposure period of four weeks. It was found that both atrazine and Cd2+ were toxic to rice seedlings. Both shoot and root biomasses decreased when the seedlings were exposed to increasing atrazine or Cd2+ concentrations in nutrient so...
متن کاملSelenium in soil inhibits mercury uptake and translocation in rice (Oryza sativa L.).
A great number of studies have confirmed that mercury-selenium (Hg-Se) antagonism is a widespread phenomenon in microorganisms, fish, poultry, humans, and other mammals. However, by comparison, little attention has been paid to plants. To investigate the influence of Se on the uptake and translocation of methylHg/inorganic Hg (MeHg/IHg) in the rice-soil system, we determined the levels of Se, I...
